Job Overview
Responsible for the application of the company's products and systems ensuring they are technically correct. Assist in the attainment of the bookings goals and objectives while promoting and fostering the image of the company on a worldwide basis.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Work closely with department managers and sales representatives to develop and refine solutions utilizing Hubbell control products and related items.
- Assist with promotional literature, product instruction books, and technical papers.
- Create and maintain product lifecycle documentation, product roadmap, and design documentation.
- Investigate and troubleshoot customer or product problems and propose solutions.
- Provide advanced technical services to customers, focusing on hardware, firmware, software, and communications.
- Review specifications and customer documents to assure proper product application.
- Assist in configuration and quoting for strategic bids and sales.
- Prepare and conduct technical presentations and demonstrations.
- Provide training to employees, sales reps, and customers.
- Represent the company at trade associations, conferences, and exhibitions.
- Operate within established budget and comply with company policies.
- Satisfactorily perform all primary job functions and other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (BSEE preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of hardware, firmware, and software requirements for integrating IEDs into utility control systems.
- Application, design, or product engineering experience.
- Previous experience with distribution controls highly preferred.
- Knowledge of SCADA, system automation, and other energy management communication schemes preferred.
Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of Hubbell products and electrical power infrastructure.
- Computer skills:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook. - Strong customer interaction skills and diplomacy.
- Troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
