BCH Mechanical is hiring a full time BIM Specialist to join our team! Please note—the position is not remote. Candidates must live within the Tampa Bay area and be able to commute to our office located in Largo, FL.

- Work with project teams to produce accurate and cost‑effective mechanical and/or plumbing coordinated and constructible shop drawings.
- Attend all coordination/BIM meetings between GC and other subcontractors—via Teams, Zoom, and on‑site as needed.
- Create and maintain accurate clash detection within Navisworks throughout the BIM process.
- Communicate and collaborate with VDC project management and the VDC team to create high‑quality drawings that meet project standards, milestones, and deliverables.
- Review all project submittals and specifications provided by the project management team.
- Work with and prepare external documents for mechanical and/or plumbing projects.
- Perform additional various duties as assigned or requested by management.
- Independently check CAD work against mark‑ups to ensure high quality.
- Generate bill of material, Trimble files, spools and spool maps.
- Work directly with ductwork and pipe fabrication shops to ensure quality of models ahead of installation.
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing and complex projects while successfully meeting project requirements.
- Facilitate planning meetings with the field and prefab teams to create plans/schedules for the implementation of model‑based prefab.
- A person who holds themselves to a high quality standard and has general mechanical and/or plumbing knowledge.
- A strong understanding of construction workflow processes and priorities.
- Proficiency with the following software:
- Revit
- AutoCAD
- CADmep
- Navisworks
- Word
- Excel
- Outlook
