Seeking a Microbiology Coordinator to provide expertise and champion results. The Coordinator will coordinate the activities of technical and/or non‑technical functions of the department on assigned shifts under the supervision of the department supervisor, manager, or director.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing technical and non‑technical duties in assigned areas of responsibility such as specimen collection, specimen processing, and specimen referral testing.
• Coordinating quality control, scheduled equipment maintenance, personnel training, regulatory inspection preparation, and scheduling.
• Supporting the Department Manager/Director in achieving department goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, patient satisfaction, healthy work environment, and integration of intra‑ and inter‑departmental activities.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Science or related field (minimum 2 years). Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology preferred.
• State of Florida Technologist license or ability to obtain one.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Medical Technologist.
