Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Aide to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in a care facility, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Monitor residents’ physical and emotional well-being, promptly reporting any changes to nursing staff.
  • Help residents with mobility needs, including transferring and positioning in beds or chairs.
  • Serve meals to residents, assisting with feeding as necessary, and ensuring dietary preferences are respected.
  • Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional health.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols and housekeeping standards.
  • Document care provided and any observations in residents' records accurately and timely.
  • Support residents in their personal hobbies and interests to encourage a positive living experience.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other team members to ensure holistic care for residents.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a caregiving role, preferably in a long-term care or assisted living facility.
  • Understanding of elder care, hygiene practices, and resident rights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanor.
  • Availability to work the designated shift consistently.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move residents with appropriate techniques.
  • Capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require physical stamina, such as lifting and assisting residents.
