Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Value Stream Operator to join our team ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling parts and raw materials to form complete units or sub-assemblies utilizing lean methods, standard work, quality documents, and on-the-job training.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Ensure all skills are utilized to produce a defect free product and solve problems in takt time
- Utilize hand tools, light power tools, and other special equipment to perform assigned assembly operations; may receive direction in the form of verbal or written instructions and may refer to technical drawings, catalog information or quality documents to compete assigned work
- Ensure the quality of all items produced in their area and maintain proper documentation of defects
- Follow work instructions and training guides
- Maintain condition of work area and keep free of potential hazards
- Maintain an organized and clean work area
- Perform basic cleaning and preventive maintenance checks of equipment as required
- Make recommendations for and assist in the implementation of production process improvements to enhance workflow performance
- Cross train within assigned product group and rotate assignments per plan
- Perform daily safety checks on assigned equipment
- Follow safety rules and wear prescribed personal protective equipment
- Identify workflow problems and notify the support team as they occur
- All other related duties as required
- Assist in meeting Value Stream goals
- Sufficient visual ability to identify and sort by specifications
- Ability to stand and perform job duties during shift
- Good hand-to-eye coordination and dexterity
- The ability to perform repetitive operations
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Must be able to read and understand English
