Advent Health Lake Wales in Lake Wales, Florida, is seeking a skilled and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Critical Care team. The APP will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to critically ill patients within the ICU setting. Responsibilities include performing patient assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and providing ongoing care and monitoring of patients.

Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work effectively in a high-intensity environment are essential.

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the ICU team.
• Perform procedures as needed, including intubations, central line placements, and other critical care interventions.
• Collaborate with Advent Health 24/7 Tele-Intensivists on patient care
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and care plans.
• Provide documentation and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with hospital policies.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to care coordination and decision-making.
• Respond to and manage acute changes in patient conditions and emergencies.
• Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols within the ICU.

• 12-hour shift spanning 10 AM - 10 PM
• ICU is a partially closed ICU as consults with ICU are required for a patient to be admitted
• Proficiency with procedures required
• Confident in managing ICU patients without Critical Care Attending on-site

• Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant program;
  Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• ACLS required
• Acute Certification as an APRN is required
• FCCS Certification preferred
• Current state licensure and certifications as required for the role.
• Previous experience in an ICU or critical care setting is highly preferred.

A strong emphasis will be placed on evidence based medicine with a concentration on patient centered care. Ideal candidate would have experience in critical care medicine, strong communication skills, and fit within the mission and vision of Advent Health. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not necessary.
