Part Time Line Cook

IR Eats is a ministry of Indian Rocks Baptist Church. Our mission is to serve delicious food at an affordable cost, helping those in need, creating community and help develop promise, passion and purpose to each generation.

Part-Time Line Cook — join our kitchen team and support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations. This role is ideal for someone with some culinary experience, a strong work ethic, and a passion for cooking. As a Line Cook, you will help prepare high-quality dishes and contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen.

• Support the Head Chef in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, cutting meats, and preparing ingredients according to the day’s prep sheet.
• Prepare and cook menu items following standard recipes, ensuring quality, consistency, and taste in every dish.
• Help maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness, adhering to health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations, including food presentation and plating.
• Monitor and label food inventory, ensuring proper storage and reducing waste.
• Participate in brainstorming new menu items, specials, and promotions alongside the Head Chef.
• Work with all levels of management, staff, church leaders, volunteers, members and guests to fulfill the mission of Indian Rocks Church.
• Must give testimony and evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and sense the call of God to a serving ministry.

• Education:
  
  Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Experience:
  
  2 years in a professional kitchen is ideal but not required; basic knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Prolonged standing/walking; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills; willingness to take direction and adapt as needed.
• Positive attitude, strong teamwork, and a heart for serving others.
• Schedule flexibility.
• Demonstrate a consistent Christian lifestyle in line with Indian Rocks Church Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, and Leadership Guidelines.
• Must be an active member of Indian Rocks Church as defined by regular worship attendance, participation in an Indian Rocks Connection Group or Small Group, and commitment to systematic stewardship and faithful tithing.
