As a Barista at the Indian Rocks Church Café, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and uplifting experience for every guest. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about coffee, enjoys serving others, and values working in a ministry-focused environment. While taking orders, crafting high-quality beverages, and connecting with guests, your work will help support the mission of Indian Rocks Church.

• Must give testimony and evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and sense the call of God to a serving ministry.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.
• Greet all guests warmly, providing friendly and attentive service that reflects the love of Christ.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Operate point-of-sale systems accurately for orders and transactions.
• Restock supplies, manage inventory levels, and inform the supervisor when stock is low.
• Support special events and church activities by assisting with café services when needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to ensure smooth operations.
• Demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of Indian Rocks Church in all interactions.

• Previous experience in a café, coffee shop, or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently when required.
• Ability to work primarily Monday-Friday daytime, with flexibility for occasional Sunday or Wednesday night coverage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a heart for service.
• Basic knowledge of coffee brewing methods and café equipment (training available).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Demonstrate a consistent Christian lifestyle as referenced by the Mission Statement, Statement of Faith of Indian Rocks, and Leadership Guidelines of Indian Rocks church.
• Must be an active member of Indian Rocks as defined by regular attendance in worship services, involvement in an Indian Rocks Connection Group or Small Group, commitment to systematic stewardship, and faithfulness in tithing.
