Assistant Store Manager
Sprouts Farmers Market is looking for an energetic Assistant Store Manager to lead our store team.
OverviewAs an Assistant Store Manager you will direct all business processes at your assigned store, drive store sales, manage P&L, and create a culture of excellence in customer experience.
Responsibilities- Shape culture by modeling Sprouts values and leading a team of ~10 including department managers and receivers.
- Develop leadership by motivating, engaging and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Drive operational excellence by manage inventory, labor, and expenses to meet targets and optimize sales.
- Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, labor, and company regulations through audits, BPS, and training.
- Champion customer advocacy by training associates to exceed expectations and maintain high product knowledge.
- Lead backroom and merchandising by organizing safe, compliant displays and managing in‑store merchandising.
- Manage emergencies with clear, decisive action on equipment failures, inventory issues, and crises.
- Aged 21 or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent; business, marketing, or retail degree preferred.
- 1‑3 years of retail experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Proven leadership in perishable and non‑perishable operations with P&L, safety, staffing, and inventory expertise.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical mindset, and decisive problem‑solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, retail software, time‑attendance, and HR systems.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Food Safety certification.
- Physical capabilities: lift 60 lbs between 15–70 in, push/pull up to 100 lbs, stand and walk 2 mi, wear PPE.
