As a Security Officer – Armed Arrestee Transport in Largo, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections, and more. As a member of the Allied Universal team assigned to a corrections environment, you will be responsible for armed patrols and monitoring designated areas to help deter security-related incidents. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities.

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a corrections environment, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and guidelines.
• Provide customer service by assisting staff, visitors, and/or inmates with inquiries and directions as appropriate to the location.
• Monitor access points and verify identification to help deter unauthorized entry or exit from restricted areas.
• Document and report any security-related incidents or unusual activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  
  Collaborate with facility staff and law enforcement as needed during emergency response activities.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate any potential security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or have equivalent experience.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience in law enforcement, military, or corrections.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
