Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: This position is responsible for preventative maintenance tasks and problem solving for unexpected issues on optical and metal CNC equipment, PVD coating chambers, and general facilities.

Primary Responsibilities: Major include the following activities:

• Perform preventive maintenance according to the schedule in the quality management system.
• Identify and create preventive maintenance tasks based on on the job experiences.
• Regular inspections of all equipment.
• Reacting and problem-solving unexpected issues on metal and optical CNC equipment, PVD coating chambers, and general facilities.
• Vacuum pump maintenance, including oil and filter changes, and pump replacements.
• Vacuum leak detection on PVD coating chambers utilizing both RGA and Helium Leak Detectors.
• Rebuilding magnetrons, electron beam guns, and ion beam sources regularly.
• Light machining work fixing broken screws and threaded holes.
• Tramming of CNC machines both via software and mechanically.
• HVAC filter and belt replacements
• Light building construction and painting.
• Lock out and tag out equipment when working on said equipment.

• English is the primary communication language. Excellent written and communication skills.

• Ability to plan and prioritize tasks and coordinate across departments when appropriate.
• Physical and mental demands

• Experience in precision manufacturing environment
• Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality standards
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems

• Must be able to lift 51 pounds at times.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
• This position is on site, no remote work option.
