Data Scientist / Data Analyst Programmer
Location: Larne, Northern Ireland
Contract: 12 Months (Potential Extension)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Full-Time | On-Site
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist / Data Analyst Programmer to join a high-performing team supporting data, analytics, automation, and business intelligence initiatives within a leading manufacturing environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a data professional who enjoys working across the full data lifecycle, from data engineering and integration through to analytics, reporting, and process automation. You'll play a key role in delivering data-driven solutions that support business performance and decision-making.
The RoleWorking within a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, engineers, developers, analysts, and project managers, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining data solutions that support operational and strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, and Snowflake.
- Cleanse, validate, transform, and manage enterprise data.
- Support scheduled data loads and data quality processes.
- Maintain data governance standards and technical documentation.
- Create and maintain datasets for reporting and business analysis.
- Support KPI development and analytical modelling activities.
- Investigate and resolve data and reporting issues.
- Deliver insights that support business decision-making.
- Develop dashboards and workflows using Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency through automation.
- Work closely with technical and business stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Support project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to a collaborative and data-driven working environment.
- 3–5+ years' experience in data science, analytics, data engineering, automation, or a related discipline.
- Hands‑on experience with SQL and Snowflake.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Experience working with CRM data, ideally Salesforce.
- Good understanding of data modelling, data quality, and analytics principles.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Exposure to machine learning or advanced analytics techniques.
- Experience working with cloud‑based data platforms.
- Relevant technical certifications.
- Initial 12‑month contract with potential for extension.
