We are currently recruiting for an Industrial IT Infrastructure Specialist to join a global manufacturing organisation in Larne.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on with IT infrastructure and wants to work close to the heart of a manufacturing operation.

We’re looking for someone with solid experience across both hardware AND software.

This role requires someone who is comfortable working with the physical infrastructure and hardware that supports a manufacturing environment.

This is a fully on site position in Larne and the salary guidance is £35K - £40K p.a. plus bonus

What will you be doing?
  • Providing hands-on IT infrastructure support across servers, networks, hardware, endpoints and IoT devices
  • Supporting infrastructure technologies including IIS, SQL and Veeam
  • Working closely with plant engineers, Manufacturing IT, MES and central infrastructure teams
  • Troubleshooting issues and taking ownership through to resolution
  • Supporting IT security, compliance, change management and business continuity
  • Helping deliver Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing initiatives
  • Working with suppliers and technology vendors
  • Participating in an on-call rota of approximately 1 week per month
Key requirements:
  • Degree/HND in IT or relevant practical experience
  • 4+ years hands-on IT infrastructure experience across networks, servers, hardware, endpoints and/or IoT
  • Experience with Windows Server, IIS, SQL, Veeam or similar
  • Knowledge of ITIL, security, compliance and change management
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and prioritisation skills
  • A hands-on approach to troubleshooting both hardware and software
  • Ideally, experience in a manufacturing, industrial or engineering environment
