Project Management – 12 Month Industrial Placement Scheme

Caterpillar Inc. is inviting students to join its Electric Power Division (EPD) in Larne, Northern Ireland. The placement runs for 12 months, beginning in summer 2026, and offers direct involvement in strategic projects across the organisation.

As a placement student you will work at the heart of the business, participating in cross‑functional projects, identifying efficiency opportunities, and driving process improvement initiatives. The role provides exposure to project management practices, technical product knowledge, and a global career network.

• Annual Salary: £26,000
• Share Scheme, Pension, & 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)

• Participate in and lead cross‑functional projects related to the product.
• Identify and present efficiency opportunities.
• Support business and growth opportunities.
• Identify, present & lead process improvement projects to improve efficiencies, quality and drive stakeholder value.

Applicants must hold a minimum of a 2:2 honours degree in one of the following disciplines, and be in the penultimate year of study unless enrolled in an integrated master’s program:

• Engineering (electrical, manufacturing, mechanical, design)
• Project Management
• Business Management
• Business Administration

Stage 1 – Video Interview → Stage 2 – Assessment Centre (11 March 2026) → Stage 3 – Offer. Placement students will start at the end of June 2026. Please submit your CV and complete the online application before the role’s closing date.
