Job Overview

Memorial Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is a 199‑bed acute medical/surgical teaching hospital located in Las Cruces, NM. As a Front Desk Representative, you will provide vital front‑office support, helping patients, providers, and other offices communicate effectively while maintaining a welcoming environment. Your role supports the mission of making communities healthier.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare statistical reports and perform clerical functions such as sending outgoing mail, distributing incoming mail, maintaining filing systems, entering data, and maintaining databases.
  • Type documents and correspondence, photocopy, scan, and fax.
  • Greet visitors and communicate with patients, providers, and other offices, departments, or facilities.
  • Place, answer, and direct phone calls and distribute messages.
  • Organize, coordinate, and schedule meetings and appointments.
  • Keep office area neat and tidy, monitor office supplies, and place orders as needed.
  • Handle information requests, review files and records, answer inquiries, and respond to incoming work requests.
  • Coordinate workflow and maintain records of office activities.
  • Control basic accounting functions such as checking invoices, making deposits, and managing petty cash when payments are made or collected.
Non‑Essential Functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, in‑service training, projects, and committees as assigned.
  • Adhere to and support policies and procedures of the STRHS.
  • Work scheduled shifts, including overtime when necessary.
  • Accept all call schedules as directed.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance in compliance with the existing dress code.
Education &

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred);
    Associate’s Degree Preferred.
Skills & Experience
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
