Substitute Campus Security Officer (Updated Job Description) at Las Cruces Public Schools

This position will monitor the Weapon Detection System at various high schools and middle schools.

Salary: $17.13 per hour.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum level one state certification or training for security or obtain Level one within first year.
• Successful passing of fingerprint and background check.
• Must be able to communicate with staff, students, and public.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Minimum two years’ experience with law enforcement/corrections or minimum two years’ experience with the fire department
• Honorably discharged military/reserve
• Previous experience as security guard, law enforcement, military
