Job SummaryProvides training and education in trauma‑informed situations (child‑specific infant and toddler) to teaching staff, center directors, childcare providers, home visitors, and parents, facilitating the retention of children with challenging behaviors by providing behavioral interventions in classrooms and homes. Also holds a key responsibility for collaborating with other EHS program components, as well as community health agencies and providers, to meet the comprehensive needs of the community’s families and children, especially those with disabilities.

- Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly with parents and education professionals.
- Working knowledge of community services and resources, referral systems & procedures, and transitioning procedures
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstration of exceptional customer service skills
- Must be able to handle emotionally charged situations.
- Experienced in trauma‑informed situations.
- Has the ability to train other people to apply behavior management techniques effectively.
- Has knowledge of and knows how to work with various support systems that are available in a community.
- Basic understanding of computers including MS Windows and WORD
- Bachelor’s in Social Work, Counseling, or other related counseling/early childhood development degree.
- Three to five years’ experience in an early childhood education program or early intervention. Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary. Job requires traveling within area served by the program.
