TitleTest Engineer
Job SummaryAs a Test Operations Engineer, you will support all aspects of radar ground and missile flight test planning and execution. Your role will involve collaborating closely with a diverse team to drive innovation and excellence in test and evaluation, making meaningful contributions to U.S. Army programs.
Roles And Responsibilities- Support PAE Fires Search Track Acquire Radiate Eliminate (STARE) Test and Evaluation Directorate for radar ground and missile flight test mission execution, including Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS), Sentinel, and Army Long Range Persistent Sensor (ALPS) systems.
- Develop test plans and technical artifacts required for test mission execution.
- Coordinate mission resources and collaborate across stakeholders and internal/external organizations.
- Interpret system requirements and test objectives to ensure proper mission configuration.
- Lead working groups (WG) and integrated product teams (IPT).
- U.S. citizenship required.
- 20+ years of Army Air Defense or Department of Defense weapons systems planning experience.
- 3+ years of test operations experience with air missile defense radar systems such as Sentinel, PATRIOT, IBCS, or LTAMDS.
- Experience supporting or leading radar ground and missile flight test missions.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Secret clearance required.
- Position based at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), NM.
- Ability to travel up to 20 weeks per year, typically no longer than 2 weeks per trip.
- 5+ years of test operations supporting military missile, aviation, and radar systems.
- Experience supporting or leading STARE radar ground and missile flight test missions.
- Experience with System of System test operations and configuration.
- Knowledge of DoD Army acquisition processes and testing guidance.
- Experience leading IPT and WG teams and meetings.
- Ability to brief technical material to leadership and stakeholders.
- Experience in a Joint Analysis Test (JAT) team environment.
- Ability to develop test plans and supporting technical documentation.
- Familiarity with the Test Event Management Team (TEMT) construct.
