The ASFCF Center/Receiving at 12400 NASA Rd., Las Cruces, NM hosts our satellite Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team. Raytheon Technologies values engineering excellence and a commitment to national defense. This role is onsite in Las Cruces, NM and requires U.S. citizenship and a transferable TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

• Create and implement a daily operations plan using complex software and hardware systems, applying command and control tasks.
• Maintain technical knowledge of a large repository of formal procedures, selecting and applying the correct procedure for each scenario.
• Document discrepancies as they occur, implementing workarounds and contingency plans to minimize impacts of system anomalies.
• Contribute to the testing, readiness, training, and implementation of new ground software deliveries.
• Cross‑train in other operator positions as assigned and assist with training of other personnel on the contract team.
• Lead interactions and support all missions, including the initialization of new missions.
• Implement process improvements relevant to the mission supported, based on program level priorities.
• Travel periodically to interact with personnel from various sites and factories.

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience, or an advanced degree and 3 years of experience.
• Ability to train and certify in an operational position.
• U.S. citizenship and a transferable TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph are required prior to start date.

• Experience working a rotating shift schedule.
• Experience working in a virtual team environment.
• Proficient use of Windows and UNIX platforms.
• Experience with Perl, Python, VBA, and/or other scripting languages.
• Experience using the Microsoft Office suite.
