Build a career with visible local impact. You will help deliver facilities, roads, neighborhoods, parks, and public spaces that support communities across New Mexico.

Your Opportunity

Join our Community Development team and work on a broad mix of public and private projects throughout New Mexico. In this role, you will collaborate with local and regional project managers, designers, and engineers to move projects from early concepts and feasibility through permitting and construction documents.

This position is well suited to an engineer who enjoys solving practical infrastructure challenges, working across disciplines, and seeing how thoughtful design improves the places where people live, work, and gather.

Why This Role?
  • Meaningful New Mexico work. Contribute to infrastructure and development projects serving both urban and rural communities.

  • Variety of Work. Work across skill sets including design of site development, roadways, grading & drainage, utility services, and erosion control.

  • Concept through Construction. Help evaluate feasibility, prepare construction-ready documents, and provide construction administrative services.

  • Collaborative Team Environment. Work alongside experienced project managers, designers, EITs, and multidisciplinary partners. We have experts, mentors, and peers for collaboration and support throughout your career.

  • Influence. Facilitate refinement of design details, production workflows, and technical standards.

What will you do?
  • Design civil infrastructure. Prepare designs for site layout and geometry, grading, drainage, roadways, paving, water, sewer, and erosion control.

  • Support public and private clients. Contribute to public works, industrial, commercial, and subdivision projects.

  • Develop complete project deliverables. Prepare calculations, exhibits, three-dimensional civil models, quantities, cost estimates, schedules, specifications, and construction documents.

  • Shape early project decisions. Research existing conditions, identify site constraints, assess feasibility, develop concepts, and communicate civil engineering considerations to the project team.

  • Coordinate approvals. Prepare submission packages and coordinate follow-up with agencies throughout review and approval.

  • Collaborate across the team. Participate in project coordination and communicate clearly about assignments, technical issues, schedule, and budget.

  • Deliver quality work. Check your work, support project-level QA/QC, and help maintain accurate, coordinated documents.

  • Improve our practice. Contribute ideas that strengthen standards, production workflows, modeling practices, and design details.
