Description:

Relocation assistance up to $10k.

The Radiation Therapist will provide high-quality therapeutic radiation treatment to patients, adhering to protocols set by the Radiation Oncologist. This role involves operating ionizing radiation equipment, preparing patients for treatment, and ensuring the delivery of safe, compassionate care.

Responsibilities
  • Safely and accurately operate radiation therapy equipment for treatment delivery.
  • Perform pretreatment preparations, including simulations and fabrication of treatment devices.
  • Conduct daily quality assurance (QA) checks on linear accelerators and CT simulators.
  • Utilize hospital and Radiation Oncology EMR systems for recording treatments, patient positioning, and care coordination.
  • Schedule patients for simulation and treatment sessions.
  • Maintain a compassionate and calm demeanor, educating patients and addressing their concerns.
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless coordination and high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in on-call procedures if necessary.
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an approved program in Radiation Therapy.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
    • Licensed or eligible for licensure in New Mexico.
    • CPR certification is required.
  • Experience:
    • 35 years of radiation therapy experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong technical, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

Must-Haves

  • Graduate of an approved program in Radiation Therapy.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Eligible for licensure or currently licensed in the state of New Mexico.
  • CPR certification.
  • Experience in operating radiation therapy equipment and performing quality assurance.

Nice-To-Haves

  • 3-5 years of experience in radiation therapy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
