• The Patient Dining Clerk will visit patients, introduce room service, assess whether a patient is appropriate for menu selections, and assist patients with menu selections.
• Handle patient special requests/needs and provide in-between meal food delivery; relay patient food issues/concerns to Culinary Services and Nursing.
• Interact with Registered Dietitians (RD) regarding patient nutrition needs or requirements.
• Respond to changes to ensure efficient timing of services and accuracy of diet orders as prescribed by physicians.
• Know and understand dietary restrictions on special and modified diets to meet patient preferences within diet order guidelines.
• Provide quality service that is reflected in patient satisfaction survey results on assigned units.
