Clinician (Mobile Crisis Team) - Las Cruces, NM

Families and Youth Innovation Plus is looking for a Clinician to join our Mobile Crisis Team. The Clinician will work alongside a certified peer support worker as a two-person mobile crisis team. The team will respond to dispatches for behavioral health crises in Doña Ana County, to deliver timely support at the location of the crisis. The clinician will provide immediate, on-site mental health assessment, intervention, and regulatory services to individuals experiencing psychological distress.
The intention of the mobile crisis team is to provide appropriate care for the nature of the crisis, provide transportation to definitive care, if needed, and connect individuals to follow-up services.
What You'll Do:
Respond promptly to crisis calls and conduct on-site risk assessmentsProvide trauma-informed service, de-escalation, and crisis interventionDevelop safety plans and coordinate appropriate level of careFacilitate warm hand-offs to higher level of care or ongoing care navigationDocument all clinical interventions according to program standardsCollaborate with emergency services, mental health facilities, and community providersWhat You Need:
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health fieldCurrent professional license or license-eligible status in state of practice2+ years experience in crisis services, emergency psychiatry, or similar settingsExperience conducting risk assessments and crisis interventionKnowledge of psychiatric conditions and crisis modalitiesStrong interpersonal and communication abilitiesTraining in suicide prevention and trauma-informed careFamiliarity with community resources and referral networksExperience working with both adults and youth in crisisBilingual preferredWe Offer:
