Position: Therapist - Mobile Crisis Response Team (80-70)

Up to $74,813

Job Summary

Performs assessment, diagnostic evaluation, crisis intervention, case management, and therapeutic services for individuals, families, and groups; coordinates with and provides education to support system and community agencies in relation to patient care, assists in staff orientation and training; assists in team supervision and provides feedback to assist in planning, development, and implementation of services for their program.

Core Competencies
  • Knowledge of various modes of psychotherapy and evidence-based practices, especially crisis intervention and short-term models using individual, group, and familial approaches.
  • Skill in assessment procedures, diagnostic evaluation, therapeutic treatment, and case management practices including follow-up and closure.
  • Ability to establish therapeutic alliance with clients and their families.
  • Ability to work effectively on a multi-disciplinary team and with the public.
  • Assesses and incorporates culture into assessment and treatment processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Actively seek feedback and supervision, and engage in personal reflection and self-correction.
  • Acknowledges impact of own feelings and cultural values on practice.
  • Knowledge of ethical principles and state laws.
  • Knowledge of and adheres to state reporting and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintains appropriate boundaries with patients.
  • Assesses for trauma and engages in trauma informed practices.
  • Formulates realistic, patient centered treatment goals and evaluate progress toward goals.
  • Knowledge of developmental needs of population served.
Job Requirements
  • Master's Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a behavioral health related field.
  • Current New Mexico independent license in the field of counseling, social work, psychology or marriage and family therapy (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT).
  • Must be able to maintain a clean driving record, valid driver's license, and current car insurance.
  • Must be able to work unconventional hours: weekends/evening/holiday
