Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key participant on the IT – Enterprise Software Solutions team at New Mexico State University.
  • Assess, analyze, and develop requirements and process workflows for various departments, ensuring correct functionality of the Ellucian ERP suite.
  • Perform extensive data analysis and reporting to support problem resolution and process enhancement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with diverse constituents across the university to develop solutions, streamline existing processes, and align with institutional goals.
  • Document business requirements and functional specifications for new and existing software modules.
  • Translate end‑user requirements to the development team and ensure delivered capabilities meet departmental requirements and industry standards.
  • Support end users in resolving product‑related issues, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing system changes.
  • Determine opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Work closely with analysts, development teams, and the Help Desk to manage project scope, schedule, and documentation.
  • Act as the technical liaison between IT resources and assigned functional units, coordinating deployment and work efforts to achieve the university’s IT strategic vision.
  • Provide technical assistance to users or other departments, troubleshooting problems and improving system performance.
Qualifications
  • Required

    Education and Experience:

    Associate's Degree + 4 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's Degree + 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst or Process Analyst in an environment that utilizes an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Higher Education experience preferred but not required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships within the university community.
  • Patience, persistence, and people‑savvy approach to help departments achieve their goals.
