Position OverviewThe Director, Construction plays a critical role in delivering large‑scale, complex data center projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Sr. Vice President, Construction, this role will oversee day‑to‑day project execution, provide leadership to project teams, and ensure alignment with STACK’s operational and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities- Project Leadership:
Direct and manage construction projects across the region, ensuring accountability for budgets, schedules, quality, and safety. - Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as a primary contact with general contractors, owner‑direct vendors, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships. - Budget & Schedule Oversight:
Review, track, and forecast project budgets, cost reports, and schedules; identify risks and mitigation strategies. - Team Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop regional project management staff, fostering a collaborative, high‑performance culture. - Collaboration:
Partner with cross‑functional STACK teams (Engineering, EH&S, Finance, Operations) to ensure alignment and delivery excellence. - Risk & Issue Management:
Proactively identify and resolve project challenges to maintain delivery commitments. - Reporting:
Prepare and present reports, updates, and analyses for senior leadership, clients, and partners as required. - Culture & Standards:
Champion a culture of safety, quality, professionalism, and innovation across all projects.
- 10+ years of construction management experience, including delivery of large‑scale data centers or comparable complex, fast‑track projects.
- Proven success in managing ground‑up, core and shell, utility, sitework, and fit‑out projects ($500M+ preferred).
- Strong client‑facing experience with the ability to influence outcomes and build lasting relationships.
- Deep knowledge of construction management tools and practices (contracts, schedules, budgets, payment applications, risk management, etc.).
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and BIM platforms (preferred).
- Excellent financial acumen with the ability to manage cost controls and reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to clients and senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (advanced degree preferred).

Las Cruces/Dona Ana County, New Mexico - Travel:
Domestic travel required, up to 20% - Compensation: $200,000 - $220,000/year + target bonus
