Director of Risk Management

A hospital in Las Cruces, NM seeks a senior‑level Director of Risk Management. The role is a leadership position responsible for overseeing risk‑management functions at an acute‑care facility, with an expectation of regular in‑person presence on site. Partial relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

The Director of Risk Management will lead risk identification, mitigation, and compliance initiatives across the organization. The individual works closely with clinical and administrative leadership to develop and maintain programs that minimize organizational risk and support a safe care environment. The role requires direct, on‑site engagement and involves cross‑functional collaboration with providers, operational leaders, and compliance stakeholders.

• Current (or eligible) New Mexico RN license required.
• Five years of healthcare experience, with at least three in a leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; advanced degree (MSN, Healthcare Administration, or MBA) strongly preferred.
• Experience working in a for‑profit hospital strongly preferred.
• Preferred:
  Experience facilitating relationships with providers.
• Preferred:
  Ethics & Compliance experience.

$125,000 – $150,000 per year.
