Psychiatrist

Join to apply for the Psychiatrist (70-70) role at La Clinica De Familia (LCDF is a FQHC with locations in Southern New Mexico offering medical, dental, behavioral health, and educational services).

Provides direct psychiatric care, delivers quality service, and fosters positive interactions with patients. Is responsible for establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors, and LCDF employees in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner. Provides direct supervision to psychiatrists and offers clinical supervision and oversight to Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners as well as residents.

• Administrative experience.
• Experience in community health.
• Must maintain a high level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time‑management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Requires considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.

• Graduated from an accredited medical school.
• Active New Mexico MD license.
• Board eligible or board certified in psychiatry.
• Current DEA and CSR.

• Maintains a clean driving record, valid driver’s license, and current car insurance.
• Must submit to LCDF required background check, TB screen, and drug testing.
