The Tower Technician II is a mid-level field position responsible for assisting in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of wireless communications sites. This role supports the Tower Foreman and senior technicians in building and servicing cell towers, antennas, and associated equipment. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, safety-focused, and able to work confidently at heights and in varied outdoor conditions. This position requires regular travel throughout the assigned market and adherence to all company and industry safety standards.

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on cell towers, antennas, coax lines, TMAs, RRHs, microwaves, and hybrid cables.
• Support the Tower Foreman in completing scopes of work including grounding, site audits, troubleshooting, and sweep/PIM testing.
• Execute repairs and maintenance tasks in accordance with company standards, MOPs, and carrier specifications.
• Identify and correct deficiencies to ensure quality installations prior to site completion.
• Adhere strictly to company safety procedures, ensuring a safe work environment for all crew members.
• Assist with the setup, rigging, and safe operation of tools and equipment.
• Complete accurate daily documentation and communicate progress or issues to leadership.
• Travel throughout the assigned region to perform maintenance, upgrades, and emergency repairs.

Minimum 36 months of tower-climbing or related telecommunications experience preferred.

• Familiarity with major carriers (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Ericsson).
• Proven excellent safety record and understanding of fall-protection systems.
• Ability to climb and work comfortably at heights.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet company driving eligibility requirements (minimum 19 years of age).
• Ability to work in varied weather conditions and travel extensively within assigned markets.
• Strong communication skills, teamwork, and reliability required.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with testing software, reporting tools, and email communication.

• Daily interaction with Tower Foremen, Project Managers, and Safety staff.
• Collaboration with crew members, subcontractors, and carrier representatives.
• Frequent exposure to outdoor elements, heights, and active construction environments.
• Travel across markets and occasional overnight assignments.

• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship at all times.
• Technical skill and attention to detail in installations and maintenance activities.
• Strong teamwork and communication, ensuring productivity and reliability in the field.

• Ability to climb and work at significant heights for extended periods.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to work outdoors in heat, cold, and inclement weather.
• Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to monitor equipment and hand-signal communication.
