The Fire Sprinkler Fitter is responsible for installing various fire-protection systems, including pipe systems and valves. The candidate should be able to read drawings and blueprints, operate machinery safely, and work effectively as part of a team. Experience in construction is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Select, cut, and assemble pipes and valves for interior and exterior installations.
- Layout piping systems based on blueprints and specifications.
- Test piping systems for leaks and read gauges.
- Secure pipes to structures using clamps and brackets.
- Operate machinery, read blueprints, and maintain a clean work area.
Requirements
- Ability to read blueprints and design drawings.
- High attention to detail.
- Knowledge of fire systems and tools.
- Good judgment and analytical skills.
- Organized, systematic, and deadline-oriented.
- Ability to carry tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Basic understanding of construction workflows.
- Experience with MS Office, Adobe Pro DC, Dropbox, and Procore.
- Experience in document control.
