Accounting Assistant

Summary: The role of the Accounting Assistant is to Perform in-house bookkeeping and accounting duties related to accounts payables and receivables, project set-up and inventory tracking, and client invoicing using bookkeeping and spreadsheet software on computer.

Essential Job Functions:

• Process Purchase Orders
• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Collections
• Client Deposit

Desired Outcomes or Results:

Performs accounting functions in accordance with company SOP’s and other procedures and represents accounting in a professional manner. Organizes work and uses time effectively and communicates well with clients and other staff. Takes ownership of actions and demonstrates willingness to help others and is a good team player.

Education, Knowledge, and Skills Required or Desirables:

• High school diploma
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
• Familiarity with A/P, A/R, journal entries, general ledger, and financial statements
• Proficient spreadsheet and word-processing skills
• Experience with accounting software and data entry, preferably with Axium Ajera software
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook applications
• Professional attitude, telephone etiquette, and appearance
• There is not a requirement or expectation that this position will need to drive GES owned vehicles.
