A Las Vegas, NV-based company is hiring an Accounting Specialist. The Accounting Specialist plays a crucial role in managing financial transactions and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. This position involves handling daily cash activities, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. Candidates will thrive in a collaborative environment and should be comfortable working within a small team.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate will have relevant accounting experience and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.

Accounting Specialist Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash activity and bank transactions
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Handle accounts payable, including entering and coding invoices, processing vendor payments, and responding to vendor inquiries
• Manage accounts receivable by creating and sending invoices, posting customer payments, and following up on outstanding balances
• Process in-house payroll using Quick Books
• Assist with month‑end close activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records
• Help with expense tracking and employee reimbursements
• Assist with audits, tax preparation, or requests from outside accountants as needed
• Support general accounting and administrative tasks as required

Accounting Specialist Requirements

• 2-3+ years of overall accounting experience
• Accounts payable experience
• High school diploma
• Experience with Quick Books desktop
• Open to industry
• Retail or service industry experience preferred
