We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Temporary Staff Accountant to support our client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing account reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and assisting with month-end close activities. This role requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and post accurate journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Review and verify financial transactions for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for all reconciliations and entries.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely reporting.
- Support audits by providing requested schedules and documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of GAAP principles.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
