Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role involves managing key accounting processes, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

- Perform account reconciliations, including bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheets.

- Assist with month-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is accurately documented.

- Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide actionable insights.

- Manage fixed asset accounting, including depreciation and inventory tracking.

- Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect current financial transactions.

- Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards in all accounting activities.

- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

- Utilize accounting software such as Oracle, Sage Intacct, and Great Plains for financial reporting.

- Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.

- Proficiency in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

- Familiarity with US GAAP standards and their application in accounting.

- Experience with accounting software such as Oracle, Sage Intacct, or Great Plains.

- Advanced knowledge of Excel for data analysis and reporting.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct variance analysis.

- Background in fixed asset accounting, including depreciation and inventory management.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
