Senior Accountant - Finance

The Senior Staff Accountant directly contributes to the accurate and timely generation of financial results of the Treasury & Finance department by recording, classifying, examining, and analyzing data and records of financial transactions. Adherence to strict monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines is essential.

• Conduct monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts, verifying accuracy, detecting exceptions, and addressing discrepancies.
• Prepare, review and post complex journal entries for month-end and year-end close.
• Make day-to-day decisions concerning the treatment of financial transactions.
• Review departmental expenditures monthly. Identify and addresses anomalies.
• Partner with other departments to resolve reconciling items and elevate potential issues to management.
• Responsible for overseeing and administration of various complex General Ledger accounts and accounting segments.
• Recommend solutions to complex problems.
• Perform fluctuation and variance analysis on financial data to explain changes and significant variances to management.
• Identify and recommend cost‑saving measures and opportunities to streamline workflow.
• Perform Ad hoc analysis as requested.
• Mentor and provide guidance to staff accountants.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years of work‑related experience required.
• Must have strong knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger procedures.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong writing, reading, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability and desire to learn new software quickly and navigate through intricate third‑party system.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Experience utilizing AI, workflow automation, and financial systems to optimize accounting operations, reduce manual effort, strengthen controls, and improve scalability.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot and vlookup) are preferred.
• Net Suite experience a Plus.
