Accounting Specialist

Description

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support a client on a 3-month contract. This position is responsible for assisting with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. The Accounting Specialist will work closely with the VP of Finance and alleviate a lot of the day-to-day accounting operation tasks. This opportunity is fully on-site.

Accounting Specialist with exposure to General Ledger, nonprofit and/or public sector environments are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities for the Accounting Specialist:

+ Process accounts payable invoices and vendor payments.

+ Support accounts receivable activities, invoicing, and collections tracking.

+ Enter and maintain financial information within the accounting system.

+ Review and reconcile account balances and supporting documentation.

+ Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities.

+ Maintain organized accounting records and supporting files.

+ Research and resolve discrepancies as needed.

+ Prepare reports using Excel and other accounting software.

+ Support audit requests and financial reporting activities.

+ Collaborate with internal departments regarding accounting-related matters.

+ Participate in process improvement initiatives and workflow enhancements.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ 2+ years of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or related experience.

+ Experience working within an ERP system;
Net Suite experience preferred.

+ Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

+ Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.

+ Excellent communication and organizational skills.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

+ Self-motivated with a proactive, team-oriented approach.
