Staff Accountant Opportunity

Robert Half is partnering with a recognized Las Vegas organization seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This is a contract-to-permanent opportunity with a growing organization. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to general ledger accounting, fixed asset accounting, and month-end close activities while working within a large and dynamic environment. The Staff Accountant must have a positive attitude, team-first mentality and the ability to thrive in a high-volume / fast paced environment.

The ideal Staff Accountant will have strong general ledger experience, fixed asset exposure, and experience with large ERP systems.

Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant:

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate general ledger records
• Track fixed asset additions, transfers, and retirements
• Assist with depreciation calculations and fixed asset reporting
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities
• Research and resolve accounting variances
• Maintain supporting schedules and accounting documentation
• Assist with process improvement projects
• Support audit requests and reporting needs
