Bookkeeper Opportunity
Robert Half is partnering with a private organization seeking an experienced and highly organized Bookkeeper to support a time-sensitive records management and financial administration project.
This position is ideal for a bookkeeper who thrives in unstructured environments, can work independently, and has experience managing confidential financial, administrative, legal, or estate-related documentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing large volumes of records, coordinating with vendors and service providers, assisting with account administration, and establishing a shared file that will improve visibility and organization across multiple areas.
This is a project-based engagement requiring exceptional discretion, strong attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership of initiatives with minimal supervision. The bookkeeper will work onsite until the project is complete.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, organize, and maintain physical and electronic records, files, and documentation
- Create and implement structured filing systems for both paper and digital records
- Scan, categorize, and archive documents in a secure cloud-based environment
- Review financial records, statements, invoices, and recurring expenses to identify opportunities for consolidation and cost reduction
- Coordinate with utilities, service providers, financial institutions, and other third-party vendors regarding account updates, inquiries, and administrative requests
- Assist with account management activities, record maintenance, and document retrieval
- Prepare organized documentation packages for accounting and professional service providers
- Track projects, outstanding items, deadlines, and follow-up activities
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive financial, legal, and personal information
- Develop processes and procedures that improve organization and efficiency
The successful Bookkeeper will bring order to a complex administrative environment by implementing organized systems, improving record accessibility, coordinating account-related activities, and creating a streamlined process for ongoing management of important financial and administrative information. This is a short-term, project-based opportunity offering immediate impact if you enjoy solving problems, creating organization, and taking ownership of meaningful work. Candidates must be self-starters who can create structure from ambiguity.
