Auto Body Shop Estimator

As an Auto Body Shop Estimator at CSN Collision, you will play a crucial role in determining the costs associated with repairing vehicles after accidents. This position involves appraising vehicle damages, preparing detailed estimates for customers and insurance companies, and overseeing the repair process to ensure quality and efficiency.

• Write complete estimates/supplements adhering to company and insurance guidelines, emphasizing repairing versus replacing parts.
• Document vehicle conditions with clear and accurate photographs of damages.
• Order and manage parts inventory, confirming availability and discounts from vendors.
• Track and document vehicle progress throughout the repair process, updating statuses in the production schedule.
• Provide customers with detailed education on the collision repair process, including insurance claims, payment procedures, and repair timelines.
• Conduct daily meetings with front office staff for accurate vehicle updates.
• Finalize supplements prior to the delivery of vehicles.
• Ensure all parts are received and invoices are accurately posted.
• Confirm that labor assignments are fulfilled and vehicles undergo quality control inspections before delivery.
• Facilitate vehicle deliveries and clarify repair work done, addressing any customer inquiries.
• Manage file preparations for final billing uploads, ensuring correct verbiage and documentation are used.

This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication abilities to ensure exceptional customer service and seamless repair processes.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and self-starter mentality.
• Experience managing multiple projects and assignments with attention to detail.
• Problem-solving skills, organized, detail-oriented, and accurate work.
• Preferred:
  Minimum of 4 years in collision auto body repair experience.
• Knowledge of insurance procedures and requirements.
• I-CAR certification is advantageous.
• Experience using estimating software, especially CCC One.
• Experience writing estimates for high-end vehicles is a plus.
