Position OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced Project Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities for large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing, negotiating, and managing vendor relationships within complex, multi-phase projects. This role requires strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to ensure timely delivery of materials and services while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Experience working with EPCs.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including RFQs, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and vendor onboarding.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and finance to forecast material requirements and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare regular reports on spend, delivery schedules, and risk assessments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of procurement experience, preferably in industrial, mining, energy, or large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and procurement best practices.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with international sourcing and logistics.
- Familiarity with sustainability and ESG considerations in procurement.
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, PMP, or equivalent.
