Job Summary:

The Asphalt and Concrete Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales of asphalt, concrete, and related construction services to commercial, industrial, and municipal clients. This role requires building and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, preparing accurate quotes, and ensuring customer satisfaction from initial contact through project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients in the construction and paving industries.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities for asphalt and concrete products and services.
  • Prepare and present accurate project estimates, proposals, and contracts.
  • Collaborate with operations and project teams to ensure seamless execution of client projects.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Attend industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing client inquiries, issues, or concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline updates in CRM systems.

Qualifications:

  • Proven sales experience in construction materials, asphalt, concrete, or heavy civil construction.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of asphalt and concrete products, applications, and industry standards preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications a plus.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel to client sites, sometimes in outdoor or construction environments.
  • Occasional lifting of materials or equipment may be required.


• Base salary plus 1% commission on all closed sales.
