Wood Framing Estimatortopreparecostestimatesforresidentialandcommercialwoodframingprojects .You’llreviewconstructionplans,calculatematerialandlaborquantities,andworkwithsuppliersandsubcontractorstoputtogetherestimatesthatareaccurate,complete,andsubmittedontime.

Fromreviewingthescopetopreparingthebid,you’llhelpmakesureeachestimatereflectsthematerials,labor,equipment,andothercoststheprojectrequires.
- Reviewarchitectural,structural,andconstructiondrawings,specifications,andprojectdocuments
- Identifyprojectscope,exclusions,potential conflicts,andmissinginformation
- Review addenda,revisions,andchangeorders,andupdateestimatesaccordingly
- Performdetailedquantitytakeoffsforwoodframingmaterials,including lumber,studs,plates,headers,beams,joists,trusses,sheathing,blocking,hardware,andfasteners
- Estimatelaborhoursandproductionratesforframingcrews
- Preparedetailedcostestimatesforlabor,materials,equipment,andotherproject-related expenses
- Requestandevaluatematerialpricingfromlumbersuppliers
- Compareestimatesagainstprojectbudgetsandidentifycost-saving opportunities
- Preparebidproposals,pricing summaries,andcostbreakdowns
- Coordinatewithprojectmanagers,general contractors,suppliers,and subcontractors
- Maintainorganizedestimatingfiles,takeoff records,andbiddocumentation
- Meetbiddeadlinesandfollowuponsubmittedproposalsasneeded
- Previousexperienceinwoodframingestimatingorresidentialandcommercialconstruction
- Strongknowledgeofwoodframingmethods,materials,andconstructionpractices
- Theabilitytoreadandinterpretarchitecturalandstructuraldrawings
- Experienceperforminglumber,sheathing,hardware,andlabortakeoffs
- Anunderstandingofconstructioncosts,labor productivity,andmaterialpricing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excelandconstructionestimatingsoftware
- Strong mathematical,analytical,organizational,andcommunicationskills
- Theabilitytomanagemultiplebidsandmeetdeadlines
- Experienceestimatingmultifamily,single-family residential,townhome,orcommercialwoodframingprojects
- Familiarity withe-Takeoff,Bluebeam,Plan Swift,STACK,On-Screen Takeoff,orsimilarestimatingsoftware
- Experiencepreparingestimatesfromschematic,design development,andconstructiondocuments
- Knowledgeofframinglaborproductionratesandsubcontractorpricing
- Experiencecoordinatingwithgeneralcontractors,builders,andlumbersuppliers

Occasionalsitevisitsmaybenecessarytoverifyprojectconditionsorcoordinatewithconstructionteams.
