Qlay is the video production company behind the Spy Ninjas, the longest-running scripted series in You Tube history, and the brainchild of You Tube creators Chad Wild Clay & Vy Qwaint. The stories surrounding this inspirational group of everyday heroes have earned over 15 billion views and 45 million subscribers. Spy Ninjas are unique within the You Tube space, as we create multiple 18-25 minute narrative episodes, every week.

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head Writer & Producer to help elevate Spy Ninjas’s creative performance on You Tube. Someone who understands how to tell compelling stories that drive engagement, and who can lead a team of creatives in that pursuit. This is a ground floor opportunity to help shape the creative direction of Spy Ninjas’s future. The ideal candidate will have recent success on You Tube, a deep understanding of the digital content landscape and the ability to turn ideas into episodes, solid storytelling experience and the ability to lead creative teams.

You’ll oversee our flagship You Tube show, and guide content from idea to upload.

The position is Full Time in Las Vegas, NV. Initial interviews can be held remotely, and relocation compensation is provided for.

• Own day-to-day oversight of all creative content across the Qlay network of channels
• Analyze performance across CTR, retention, thumbnails, and titles and adjust creative accordingly
• Report directly to Qlay’s President, and work closely with the Creators to evolve storytelling and video formats
• Manage a team of creatives who write, direct, film and edit all Qlay content
• Guide visual storytelling with obsessive attention to detail and story lore
• Understand trends, competitive landscape, best practices, platform dynamics, audience feedback and analytics to continuously refine and improve success
• Partner with production manager to lead successful film days and deliver on post-production timelines while protecting creative integrity at every stage
• Serve as the senior creative in post: shaping narrative, pacing, and visual identity

• 5+ years of experience as a You Tube-focused Creative, including
• 2+ years as a Senior Creative (end-to-end ownership: concept → post)
• Experience managing a team of creatives; conducting performance reviews, delivering constructive feedback, and helping creatives grow in their careers.
• On-set leadership and post-production management experience in a fast-paced environment
• A passion for storytelling, experimentation, and solving creative challenges under pressure
• Comfortable directing shoots and managing creators with clarity and confidence
• Strong writing abilities, editorial instincts and proven ability to turn data into creative decisions
• Hands-on experience with You Tube analytics and social platform algorithms
• Bonus if you’re a Spy Ninjas fan—but not required. Just bring curiosity, creativity, and an absolute OBSESSION for You Tube
