The Senior Graphics Production Manager oversees the full operations of Blueprint Studios' Graphic & Print Production department. This role manages all graphic production team members and processes across the company, ensuring seamless coordination between creative design, production execution, print vendors, and field installation. From project intake to onsite delivery, this position plays a critical role in managing timelines, quality, staffing, and resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all graphic production team members across multiple locations
- Assign projects in Asana based on deadlines, complexity, and team capacity
- Facilitate team meetings, print reviews, and project kickoffs
- Lead internal communication with Sales, Creative, Print, Field Ops, and Accounting
- Serve as the primary escalation point for production issues, late files, or print quality concerns
- Own and enforce the standardized production workflow across all projects
- Ensure asset folders, naming conventions, proofs, and file prep meet internal guidelines
- Monitor all active project timelines, print queues, and install readiness
- Review and approve Print Proofs and final files before routing to vendors or internal print shop
- Maintain alignment between design intent and real-world application
- Oversee internal and external print execution, including vendor assignments
- Confirm substrate selection, scale, and installation methods
- Ensure vendor deliverables meet BPS quality and color standards
- Maintain relationships with approved vendors and assess new capabilities
- Continuously refine production workflows, checklists, and department SOPs
- Improve communication loops between creative, production, and field teams
- Support onboarding and training of team members, freelancers, and print vendors
- Help define department needs for tools, equipment, and staff
- 6–10 years experience in large-format or event-related graphic production
- 2+ years in a managerial or department lead role
- Strong knowledge of printing processes, substrates, mounting methods, and event install practices
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat for reviewing production files
- Effective communicator, able to coordinate cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with Asana, Google Drive, Smartsheet, and shared server workflows
- Experience in fast-paced agency or high-volume production environment preferred
