University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine invites applications for the Assistant/Associate Professor, OBGYN Generalist, Gynecologic Surgery & Obstetrics Department.
Role of the PositionThe Gynecologic Surgery & Obstetrics (GSO) department seeks candidates at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. We are looking for Laborist and General OBGYN physicians. This is a 12‑month faculty position in the Department of Gynecologic Surgery & Obstetrics (GSO). The Generalist role involves outpatient and consultative care at the School of Medicine OBGYN Outpatient Centers. The Laborist role will cover Labor and Delivery shifts at our contracted hospitals.
Successful candidates will participate in medical student, resident education and supervision and have an interest in scholarly activities. Advanced laparoscopic/robotic skills are a plus. Proven abilities in medical student and resident education, clinical research, health outcomes or education outcomes research are desirable. The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and rank. This position is a non‑tenure track/non‑tenured position.
Graduated from an accredited medical school with completion of an ACGME accredited residency program. Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology prior to employment. If board eligible, certification must be completed within the first two years of employment. Eligible for a Nevada medical license, malpractice coverage and meet credentialing requirements. Must obtain admitting privileges at applicable hospitals and/or clinics.
Must possess and maintain a State Board of Pharmacy license and DEA license and may be subject to a background check. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and rank. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.
