Per Diem General Anesthesiologist – University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMC)

Join us for a full‑time, part‑time Per Diem General Anesthesiologist role at UMC, a leading academic medical center in Southern Nevada, home to Nevada’s only Level I Trauma Center and other specialty centers.

Responsibilities include administering and managing anesthesia before, during, and after surgery; evaluating patients and their medical history prior to surgery; and prescribing medications.

• M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school
• Completed Anesthesiology Residency from an accredited institution
• Three (3) years of clinical practice in anesthesiology
• Board Certified/Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Valid Nevada medical license
• State of Nevada Pharmacy Board License to prescribe medications and DEA Controlled Substance Registration certificate
• Additional certifications (preferred or required):
  Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Board Certified in Anesthesiology; fellowship or board certification in Pediatrics preferred but not required

• Knowledge of adult and pediatric care, equipment, supplies, regulations, and safety practices
• Skills in delivering effective medical care, quality improvement, leadership, decision‑making under stress, and communication across diverse backgrounds
• Physical:
  Mobility to stand long periods, stamina, vision, hearing, speech, and ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force
