Job DescriptionThe University of Nevada, Las Vegas Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine invites applications for Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Surgery & Obstetrics Department, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine [R0131191].
ROLE of the POSITIONThe Gynecologic Surgery & Obstetrics (GSO) department is seeking candidates at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level to provide clinical services as a Maternal and Fetal Medicine physician. This is a 12-month faculty (non-tenure track) position.
This role involves inpatient/outpatient and consultative care at the University Medical Center Hospital in Las Vegas Nevada, Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas Nevada, and UNLV Health outpatient clinical locations in Las Vegas Nevada. The successful candidate will participate in medical student and resident education and have an interest in scholarly activities. Proven abilities in the areas of medical student and resident education, clinical research, health outcomes or education outcomes research is desirable.
The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and rank.

PROFILE of the Kirk Kerkorian School of MedicineLocated primarily within the Las Vegas Medical District, the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV graduated its first class of students in May of 2021. Fully accredited, the school currently has 240 medical students, 150 faculty physicians, and more than 300 medical residents and fellows. With a new medical education building opening in 2022, including state-of-the-art medical classrooms and simulation center, the school continues to grow.

Minimum QualificationsThe successful candidate requires a MD or DO degree from a regionally accredited college or university and completion of ACGME accredited residency program. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Maternal Fetal Medicine prior to employment commencing. The candidate must be eligible for a Nevada medical license, malpractice coverage, a State Board of Pharmacy license and DEA license.
