* A willingness and aptitude for teaching and engaging students in active learning.
* Experience teaching laboratory and/or field-based courses.
* A desire to collaborate with undergraduate students on research projects.
* The ability to initiate and supervise interdisciplinary, applied projects and research in their area of professional expertise.
* Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Physical Geography, Geology, or a closely related field.
* Two years of teaching experience.
* Doctoral Degree in Environmental Science, Physical Geography, Geology, or a closely related field.
* Experience in teaching Natural Resource Science courses and Sedimentation and Stratigraphy at the third and fourth-year levels.
* Teaching experience at a college or university.
* Experience with curriculum development.
* Experience mentoring students in senior-level research courses.
* Experience teaching and/or working with diverse student and staff populations.
* Demonstrated knowledge of the course and classroom management.
* Demonstrated professional development/activities within your field outside of the classroom.
