Alpha School offers the opportunity to spearhead development of an AI‑powered, scalable reading curriculum. You will design adaptive workshops, examine real‑time student performance data, and collaborate with engineers to create literacy tools that reach hundreds of learners.
What You Will Be Doing- Conduct adaptive reading workshops focused on phonics, fluency, and comprehension.
- Create personalized motivational experiences that engage students.
- Review performance metrics to iteratively improve instruction.
- Work with engineering to assess and refine AI‑powered literacy tools.
- Bachelor's degree and advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson).
- Minimum 2 years of facilitating small‑group reading interventions for early elementary students.
- Ability to evaluate reading levels, form student groups, and design differentiated instruction independently of pre‑packaged curricula.
- Comfortable with AI/adaptive learning platforms, adjusting instruction based on student interactions.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
This is a full‑time (40 hours/week) contractor position with immediate availability. Compensation is $60 USD/hour ($120,000 USD/year). Payment is weekly. The role runs under an independent contractor agreement with Crossover.
