Job Description

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Director of Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine [R0148845]

ROLE of the POSITION

The Director will be responsible for the day to day operational management and accreditation of the Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine. Develops activities to meet identified educational need while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities for the CME Program and the School. Responsible for sourcing funding that fully supports the CME Program and Office of CME to include expansion of budget and revenue return to the School.

Establishes policy and procedures; supervises staff; markets overall programs; provides financial oversight for all areas; and assists the Executive Director of Faculty Affairs, Assistant Dean of the CME Program and the Senior Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs with special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Master's degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Candidates must have a minimum of five years of experience in the medical or medical education field, at least five years of progressively responsible management experience, and five years of experience supervising others.

All required credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
